How do you identify that your appliance has a refrigeration error
The display will show a message saying "refrigeration error, please remove food". This would most likely happen during refrigeration when you schedule a cook ahead. You will also get the same notification on your app.
What does it mean?
This means that your appliance has detected that the internal temperature is not reaching its set target for refrigeration.
What to do?
1. Cancel your scheduled cook, remove the meal, and put it back in your freezer if it is still frozen or at least below 41 degrees. Please do not refreeze any seafood product.
2. Make sure you are in the latest version by checking the "About" screen on your appliance.
3. Have you ever heard the water flow in the reservoir or heard the pump running? You can check if you go to Settings->Maintenance->Rinse, which just runs the pump (flow may be slow).
4. Please restart your device and try again making sure to fill the reservoir between the MIN and MAX lines with water. Once the unit finishes pulling the water in, if the reservoir is below the MIN line please add a bit more and re-run the Rinse cycle, there should always be a small amount of water remaining in the reservoir when refrigerating or else there is risk of water freeze or not proper cooling or cooking. If the water completely disappears, please add more and re-run the Rinse cycle until the water level stabilizes between MIN and MAX.
The Rinse cycle also ensures that there is enough water inside the refrigeration water path, which may be dry on your Suvie's first refrigeration cycle or after not using the pump for a long time. If you have encountered the error more than twice in an hour, please allow the unit 30 min to thaw before running the Rinse troubleshooting; a temporary freeze due to an air bubble can prevent the unit from taking in water and displaying the correct water level.
If the issue persists, please let us know by sending us an email at help@suvie.com and provide us with a picture of the error message.
